Lily Penelope Storelli received her Bachelor Degree in Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in Los Angeles. After a couple of semesters at UCLA she goes back to SCI-Arc to enroll in a new program called MR+D (Metropolitan Research + Design) and, in 2001, she received her Master Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning.
After graduating she goes back to her native Switzerland and started working at her family architecture firm based in Canton Ticino.
Her portfolio includes residential, commercial and entertainment projects all based in Switzerland.
After 20 years of construction she decides to close the firm and start learning and exploring different media and revisiting materials and textures she was already accustomed to.
Influenced by the Bauhaus, by the Situationist International and by the Dada movements she went back to the things she really loves and really matters to her such as photography, art, interior design and object design.
Today, all of her work and explorations in the art+architecture world revolves around the Funky Room, an interdisciplinary Design Studio.
